Welcome to the Nordics: EXPO 2025 Osaka-Kansai Reception

On Wednesday, May 21st, 2025, the Nordic Chambers of Commerce in Japan invite you to a unique opportunity to tour the Nordic Pavilion at EXPO 2025 and connect with Kansai-based businesses. Engage with key industry leaders from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden and enjoy a guided tour of the Nordic Pavilion exhibition followed by a networking reception.

With the theme “Together Towards a Better Future,” this networking reception event offers a chance to explore exciting collaborations and strengthen cross-country partnerships between the Nordics and Japan, particularly in the Kansai region.

This event is co-hosted by the Danish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (DCCJ), the Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Japan (FCCJ), the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (SCCJ), the Norwegian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (NCCJ), and the Icelandic Chamber of Commerce in Japan (SCCJ).

Event Highlights

●      Special Guided Tour: Explore the Nordics through exhibition, immersive experiences, and Nordic-themed shop on the 1st floor.

●      Networking Reception: Enjoy delicious bites and free-flowing drinks on the 2nd floor main conference center. The Nordic Food Bar will offer a unique culinary experience combining Nordic flavors with Japanese elements. If the weather permits, the 3rd floor terrace will be open, offering a panoramic view of the Expo grounds as you network with like-minded professionals.

Invited Chambers Guests: ¥15,000 JPY

*Notice 1: Participants are responsible for purchasing their own EXPO 2025 admission tickets.

*Notice 2: The price includes only the Nordic Pavilion special guided tour service, and the event networking reception at the Nordic Pavilion.

About the Pavilion

Designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi and AMDL Circle, and constructed by RIMOND, the 1,200-square-meter, 17-meter-tall Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka embodies sustainability, innovation, and timeless design. It features a Nordic exhibition area, a rooftop restaurant, a Nordic garden, meeting spaces, and a business center. The pavilion represents the Nordic model of trust, sustainability, and collaboration, focusing on addressing today’s most pressing societal challenges.

The Nordic Circle—comprising Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden—aims to transform isolated ideas into impactful innovations. Centered on themes such as the green transition, circular economies, lifestyle, well-being, and mobility, the pavilion highlights the importance of trusted partnerships and long-term commitment to shared success. Together, we aspire to create a better future for all.
